Arthur Perez August 26, 1935 - March 3, 2015

Arthur "Buddy" Perez 79 of Nederland passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2015. Buddy was born August 26, 1935, in Port Arthur, Texas to Cyril Perez and Margarita Flores Perez. He lived most of his life in Port Arthur and retired from Port Arthur Fire Department after 35 years. He was an Air Force Veteran. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 11:00am at Clayton-Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens. Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, March 6, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 6:00 p.m. Buddy is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Emile and Alfred. His sister Dolores "Cookie" Perez passed away hours later. He is also preceded in death by his great grandson Christian Layne Camp. He is survived by his son Michael Perez of Nederland and his daughter Stacie Perez Robinson of Beaumont; His sister Mary Perez of Port Arthur; grandchildren Jessica Faul Camp and husband Nathanael Camp of Beaumont; Marissa Robinson of Beaumont; Lauren Perez and husband Hank Wisrodt of Austin; Damian Perez of Winnie. Great Grandchildren include Victoria Faith Camp, Mackenzie Frances Camp, William Weston Nathanael Camp all of Beaumont and Bonnie Lou Wisrodt of Austin and several nieces and nephews. Daddy was a kind and fun loving person who loved life. He had a big heart and if you were around him you were sure to have a smile on your face. I will miss him greatly as will his family and friends.
