Betty "Susie" Gay April 24, 1938 - March 26, 2015

Betty "Susie" Gay, 76, passed away in the early morning hours of March 26, 2015 at her home. As she entered heaven, she was reunited with her husband, James Phillip Gay, and her parents, Alvin Hunter Hamilton and Grace May Ogdan Hamilton. She is survived by her son, Cliff Gay, and his wife, Patti; sisters, Grace Marie Lay and Millie Hendrix; brother, Paul Hamilton; brother in law Tom Gay; grandchildren, Stephen Gay, Jonathan Gay, Lance Reid, Liz Gay-Williams and ten great-grand children. Her love for her family knew no bounds and she was always there when needed. She will be greatly missed. Visitation will be Sunday, March 29, 2015 from 5-7 PM at the funeral home. Funeral service will be Monday, March 30, 2015 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home with Dr. David Birdsong officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park.

Susie was my friend. We often had afternoon coffee together and talked of our children, grandchildren, politics, and anything else we thought of that we could fix if given the opportunity. Great laugh's together too. I loved her and will miss her greatly.
