America Illa Campos September 15, 1920 - May 31, 2015

America Illa Campos, 94, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Cypress Glen Nursing Home in Port Arthur. She was born on September 15, 1920 to Francisca Mejia Illa and Ignacio Illa in La Ceiba, Honduras. She has been a resident of the area since 1963. America worked as a dental mechanic for many years. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, several siblings and her husband, Antonio Campos. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a service to be held at 7:00 PM in the Chapel at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. Arrangements for Cremation are entrusted to Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. We'd like to take this opportunity to express our thanks to the personnel of Cypress Glen, Mabel, Elisa, Kelly and all the others who took care of loved one for the time she there.
