Ivie Joyce Dugas Joyce passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Christus St. Mary's hospital in Port Arthur. She was born March 13, 1933 to Ira and Dessie Jones in Benton, LA. She lived in Port Arthur for the last 67 years. Joyce was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother, great grandmother and loved by many. Joyce is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Robert Jones. She is survived by her husband, Gerald Dugas; sons, Dennis Dugas of Port Arthur, Darrell Dugas and wife Carolyn of Port Neches; daughter, Denise Rogers of Groves; 4 grandchildren, Donnie Dugas, Nicole Dugas, Mandy Cannon and husband Mac, Sunni Carter and one great-grandchild, Lola Carter. Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves, TX. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Clayton Thompson with Dr. Paul Vick officiating. Entombment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park.

Gerald and "youngsters", I am so sorry for your loss of my cousin whom I respected and loved dearly. I too am saddened for your loss but happy for the Lord's gain. Joyce was a great inspiration to me as she battled her physical problems for the majority of her life. Always with a smile on her face and never a word or act of pity toward herself. So sorry we can't be with you at this time. Please know You all are remembered prayerfully by our family.
