Barbara Jane Davis April 16, 1941 - August 15, 2015

Barbara Jane Davis, 74, formerly of Port Arthur passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2015 in Houston. She was born in Port Arthur, Texas on April 16, 1941 to Versie Smith Davis and James Earl Davis. Barbara was a longtime resident of Port Arthur before moving to Houston nine years ago. She was a truck driver for Texaco with 15 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sons, James and his wife, Lesli Fitzpatrick of Austin, Thomas Fitzpatrick of Houston, her sister, Carole and her husband, Ben Burt of Kountze along with her extended family, Jenna Brown of Houston. Visitation will be on Thursday, August 20, 2015 from 5 PM to 8 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Friday, August 21, 2015 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

There will be an empty place in my heart with the loss of Barbara. She was a fantastic Mother-in-law. She will be missed but her memories will live on in my heart. My sincere condolences to all the family. So sorry I cannot attend the services.
