Don L. Roberts November 26, 1944 - August 17, 2015

Don L Roberts, 70 passed away Monday August 17, 2015 in Port Arthur. He was born November 26, 1944 to the Late Murphy Robert and Louise Cormier in Bosco, LA. Don was a resident of Port Arthur for 55 years. He proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard, where he retired with 22 years of service; he retired as a Boiler Maker/ Operator from Texaco/Huntsman with 32 years. He was a roadie for The Cadillac's. Don loved Cajun Music and Swamp Pop. Cooney loved his kids, his grandchildren, his wife "Shug" and his IiI dog T -Girl, he loved camping, gardening, bowling and dancing. He is preceded in death by his father, Murphy Robert and Step Mother Minnie and Step Father Bud Thibodeaux. Don is survived by the love of his life of 37 years Debbie Roberts, of Port Arthur, TX, sons, Aaron Roberts wife Angel, Philip Hanks Wife Courtney, Daughters Kim Toutcheque husband George, Amber Arnold husband Steve, his grandchildren Dominic Toutcheque, Baylee Arnold, Taylor Arnold, Alyson Arnold, Lillie Roberts, Cory Hanks, Devin Hanks and Kade Hanks, mother, Louise Thibodeaux, sisters, Gloria Frederick, Connie Walters, husband Robert, Joyce Roberts, Cindy Hasty husband Mike, along with a host of nieces, nephews, brother-in laws and sister-in laws. Visitation will be on Friday August 21, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves, TX. A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Funeral service will be on Saturday August 22, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Rev. J.C. Coon officiating. Entombment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. His Family would like to thank everyone for the prayers and food, and a very special thank you to Courtney Hanks for taking care of our mama during this difficult time.
