Marvin Edwin Decker April 25, 1931 - September 22, 2015

Marvin passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at his residence in Nederland. He was born April 25, 1931 to Elmer Edwin and Vreda Codington Decker in Hollywood, CA. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He is preceded in death by his wife, Claudine Decker; parents and a son, John Decker. He is survived by his sons, Dan Decker and wife Kim of Oklahoma City, OK, James Threadgill and wife Terri of Beaumont, TX, Chris Threadgill of Nederland, TX; brother, Ted Decker of California; sister, Corinne Schiemann and husband Gordon of Colorado; 3 grandchildren, Wesley Threadgill, Tara Decker and Kelsey Decker and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 24, 2015 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves, TX. Funeral service will be on Friday, September 25, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Clayton Thompson with Jeff Trahan and David Osteen officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
