Joe K. Leverett, Jr. January 29, 1932 - November 26, 2015

Joe K. Leverett, Jr., 83, former resident of Port Arthur, passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2015 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

He was born on January 29, 1932 to Opal Lee Thornton Leverett and Joe K. Leverett, Sr. in Port Arthur, Texas. Joe was a lifelong resident of the area. He retired from Texaco Chemical Plant in Port Neches as a pumper. Joe served in the U. S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife, Jo Thompson Leverett.

Joe is survived by one stepson, four step grandchildren, step great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Clayton Thompson Funeral Directors in Groves.
