How can one describe Rita, she was one of a kind! She was up front and honest in her thoughts, treated everyone the same, always with a smile. Loved to laugh and share, stood up for her beliefs yet accepted others just as they were. Loved fishing and camping, she and Buddy had some wonderful times. I met Rita when I was hired at Texaco Credit Union. She took me, as she did so many others, under her wing. She trained and encouraged us all, how to do our job and also how to enjoy doing a good job. She was our TeTaw , we loved and trusted her. This world has lost a very special Lady, in my book. I admired her sponk and goodness, a true fighter! Not sure if Heaven is ready for her? She will sure be in good hands with our Lord Jesus and those she lost and loved. I can see her laughing and smiling with such joy, until we all meet again. Praying for Peace and wonderful memories for the family, I wish I were able to physically be with you all, My Heart is with you during this time. Sandra

Oh Our Dear Rita, You have fought the good fight and have prevailed, "well done my good and faithful servant" We met in the spring of 1994 while you and Buddy were living your dream in your new home on the lake and we were just beginning to dream searching for a way to put roots down in Bull Shoals. We found immediate attraction and commonality as we were up from Houston and we both worked in the petrochemical industry. So many good visits and conversations. We will always remember your joyful, happy and magnetic personality. Always having a good word, a great story and always your honest point of view. Your husky voice and perpetual smile brought all these things together to be; Rita our friend and neighbor. We were very happy and now extremely appreciative that we visited with you just this last Friday. We stopped in on our way back to Virginia. As always, your face lit up when you saw Mikki and Sammi. When we departed, I said be good, and we will see you in the spring.............. Well, I just realized, Spring is Eternal, and every day is a new beginning, a New Spring. Thank you Rita for allowing us into your circle, we will miss you and fondly remember you. Until we meet again, Dear Girl, may you be embraced by Jesus; and in Peace at his table. Please watch over us. God Bless You. Peter M. & Lanita L. Tottenham
