Angelina Rita Savarino January 26, 1926 - January 3, 2016

Angelina Rita Savarino, 89, of Port Arthur passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at Medical Center of Southeast Texas.

Angelina was born on September 26, 1926 to parents Sam and Lena (Mondello) Cuccia. She was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur and was a beautician in the area for more than 50 years. Angelina was a faithful member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. She enjoyed going on walks and visiting with her neighbors, cooking and baking. Angelina was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend who will be missed dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Jasper Cuccia, Joseph Cuccia, Josephine Cuccia Ross, Nick Cuccia, Mary Cuccia Tompkins and Sister Andre Cuccia.

Angelina is survived by her husband of 64 years, Sam Savarino of Port Arthur, sons, Mark Savarino of Arnaudville, LA, Marlon Savarino of Orlando, Fl, brothers, Frank Cuccia of Warren, Anthony Cuccia of Port Arthur and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 from 5 pm until 8 pm at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home, with at Rosary to be prayed at 6:30 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 1 pm at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
