Raynette Gillaspie August 8, 1958 - February 28, 2016

Raynette Gillaspie, 57, of Port Arthur passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2016 at St. Mary’s Hospital.

Raynette was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur, born on August 8, 1958. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. She enjoyed cooking, watching her soap operas, and crocheting. Her greatest joy in life was playing with her grandchildren. Raynette was a loving mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and friend who will be missed dearly.

She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond James Kemp; husband, Bruce Gillaspie Jr..

Raynette is survived by her daughter, Krystena Gillaspie Webb and fiancé, Joshua Kester of LaBelle; mother, Jeanette Kemp of Port Arthur; step daughter, Shanna Franke of Tulsa, OK; sisters, Holly Camacho of Crystal Beach, Jaynen Cockrell and husband, Richard of Sour Lake. Also left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren, Isayah Carrera, Cameryn Webb, Heather Kester and Jaysen Kester.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 2 pm at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home, with a gathering of family and friends one hour prior to the service time. Officiating will be Rev. JC Coon. Cremation arrangements were entrust to Clayton Thompson Funeral Home.

I was saddened to hear about Raynette. Although I hadnt seen her in many years, I always thought of her,Holly and Jaynen and the CYO days at St. Catherines with much fondness. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Kemp and Hamm families.
