Thad Ray Keese August 31, 1954 - March 15, 2016

Thad “Goat” Ray Keese Sr., 61, of Groves passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.

Goat was born on August 31, 1954 in Beaumont to parents Henrietta (Fanders) and Warren Thaddeus Keese. He lived in the Groves and Nederland area for 30 plus years. Goat had worked as a welder for 38 years with Local #195. He enjoyed going on motorcycle rides, playing the drums and harmonica. Thad was a loving husband, father, son, grandfather and friend who loved spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Warren T. Keese.

Goat is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Bernard) Keese of Groves; mother, Henrietta Keese of Beaumont; son, Thad Ray Keese Jr. and wife, Carrie F. of San Antonio; sister, Vicki Ellis of Beaumont; grandchildren, Ashley M. Keese, Briana R. Keese and Thad Ray Keese III.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016 from 4 pm until 5 pm at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the services.
