A Life Remembered

Obituary

Reagan Louis Havens March 20, 1996 - April 9, 2016

Reagan Louis Havens was born on March 20, 1996. The son of Judy and Louie Havens and the brother to Lindsey, Reagan was a bright and intelligent youth who often looked at life from a slightly different perspective than the rest of us. He spent his entire life in Southeast Texas. As a youth, Reagan was active in Scouts and reached the rank of Life Scout. Reagan attended Port Neches – Groves High School, where he played tuba in the band, and Lamar University’s Texas Academy of Leadership in the Humanities. He was currently a student of Lamar University.

Reagan is survived by his parents Judy and Louie, and his sister Lindsey Havens of Port Neches, TX. He is also survived by his great grandmother Frances Godwin of Colorado City, TX; grandparents Louis and Christi Havens of Nederland, TX and Robert D. and Marilyn Brookshear of Colorado City, TX; aunt Wendy Billiot of Nederland, TX and uncles Robert A. Brookshear and Charles Brookshear of Mesquite, TX; and cousins Kristen Sonnenberg of Nederland, TX and Lorien Brookshear of Mesquite, TX; and a multitude of other loving family members and friends, too many to list.

Reagan died April 9, 2016.  He will be missed by all.

A visitation of family and friends will be held at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home, located at 5200 39th Street in Groves, TX on Wednesday April 13, 2016 from 5 pm to 8 pm. A private family ceremony will be conducted Thursday morning.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Reagan’s honor to Port Arthur Guns & Hoses Benevolent Fund, PO Box 881 Port Arthur, Texas 77641-0881.

Where there is grief and loss, God brings soothing and relief. Where there is pain and suffering, he brings peace and hope. There is nothing that can alleviate the pain you are feeling right now except the comfort from our Lord, the love of family and friends, and the passing of time. Lean on these to get you through this tremendously difficult time. We are praying for the entire family.
