Such fond memories of growing up next door. No one could have asked for a better neighbor. I will never forget the kindness of Philip and Myrtle the night my father passed away all those years ago. To the family, I offer my sincere sympathy in the loss of your husband, father, and grandfather. May you find comfort in your memories in the days ahead.

Sitting here reflecting back over the 50+ years I have known this family, so many memories are rushing back. The Loyacanos were one of those close knit families that transformed our neighborhood from a collections of houses into an extended family. Mr. Loyacano was devoted family man and tirelessly worked to give his children the best start in life he could. Hours of working baseball skills with his kids, countless bicycle and lawn mower repairs, and later in life his gardening. Phillip was quick to lend a hand because "thats what neighbors do", and he did it genuinely and sincerely. Our hearts are heavy as we mourn his passing and grieve with the family, but we each hold memories that will be kept and reflected upon as the years pass. We pray for strength and comfort in the days ahead for Myrtle, Cindy, Sandra, Bubba, Mark, & Joe. It was a pleasure to live next door for all those years and may God bless you now in this time of sorrow.
