Joe "Spooky" Henry Bailey, Jr. October 31, 1955 - May 9, 2016

Joe “Spooky” Henry Bailey Jr, 60, of Port Neches/Groves, Texas passed away on Monday May 9, 2016 at his home.  He was born on October 31, 1955 to Doris Davis Bailey and Joe Bailey Sr. in Port Arthur, TX.  Joe graduated from Port Neches/Groves high school in 1974.  He was a bricklayer from the time he graduated until he could no longer work.  He was a resident of Port Neches/Groves for his whole life. His other occupation consisted of alligator wrestling. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Bradley Wayne Bailey, his grandparents, and his sweet baby nephew, Bryce Andrew Bailey.

Joe is survived by his parents Mr. And Mrs. Joe Bailey Sr. of Port Neches/Groves, TX; his wife, Gwen Bailey; his children, Joey Laughlin and wife, Angie, Kasey Bailey, Zach Bailey, Kinzi Bailey-Broussard and husband, Greg; his step children, Justin Orta, Jacob Orta, Brailyn Primeaux, Franciesca Fruge and husband, Mark, Ashley O'Quain and husband, Brian.

He is also survived by his sister, Cheryl French and husband Reggie of Port Arthur, TX; his brother, Jeff Bailey and wife Chel of Humble, TX.

Visitation for family and friends will begin Wednesday, May 11, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves.  Service to honor Joe's life will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Oak Bluff Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in the memory of Joe H. Bailey Jr. to the The American Legion Rudolph Lambert Post 7 3750 Memorial Blvd, Port Arthur, TX 77640.
