Kenneth Randy Kirkgard, 60, of Port Acres passed away on Friday, July 29, 2016 at Cypress Glenn Nursing and Rehab in Port Arthur.

Randy was born on January 10, 1956 in Port Arthur to parents Doris Opal (Musick) and Lowell Henry Kirkgard. He was a lifelong residence of Port Arthur area and a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Randy was Body Shop Manager at Phillpott’s Body Shop for the last 15 years. Randy enjoyed going fishing, spending time with his family and especially playing with his grandchildren. Randy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be missed dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Those left to cherish Randy’s memory are his loving wife, Jacquline Kirkgard of Port Acres; his sons, Brandon Kirkgard and wife, Eden of Silsbee, Brady Kirkgard and wife, Aleisha of Fannett; his daughter, Blaire Kirkgard Melancon and husband, Terry of Nederland; his brothers, Bruce Kirkgard and wife, Judy of Nederland, Rod Kirkgard and wife, Teresita Belen of Woodville, Craig Kirkgard and wife, Debbie of Port Acres. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Monday, August 1, 2016 from 5pm until 8 pm at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at 10 am at the funeral home, with Rev. Jim Lea officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.

To the family of a great man!! Mr Kirkgard played a very important roll in my sons life. He was full of wisdom and some discipline when needed:)) you know boys:)) He will be so missed and always held close in our heart! We love you and will be praying for you all.
