Manuel De La Cruz, 26, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on Monday, August 1, 2016 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur.

He was born on August 10, 1989 to Olga Benavides De La Cruz and Marco Antonio De La Cruz in Galveston, Texas. Manuel has been a resident of Port Arthur for most of his life. He worked as a welder in the construction field. He loved boxing and won many awards and trophies for his age brackets.

He is survived by his parents, Marco and Olga De La Cruz of Port Arthur, his sisters,Ruth De La Cruz of Port Arthur, Patricia Torres and husband, Daniel of Port Arthur, his brother, Marco De La Cruz of Port Arthur, 4 nephews and 3 nieces.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Friday evening at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Service to honor Manuel’s life will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 6, 2015 at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Port Arthur.
