Hilda Gonzalez Torres August 4, 1939 - September 13, 2016

Hilda Gonzalez Torres, loving daughter, wife, and mother passed on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 in Texas City , Texas after a lengthy illness. She is preceded in death by her parents, Celsa Lozano and Jose Gonzalez Sr, and sister, Graciela Paredes. Ms. Torres is survived by eight children, two brothers, one sister, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Surviving children and their spouses include Hilda Gracia, Alvar Torres (Gwenn), Miguel Torres, George Torres (Olivia), Robert Torres, Gilbert Torres (Belinda), Celsa Kozlowski (Antonio), and Xavier Torres (Perfeita). Surviving siblings includes Horacio Gonzalez (Norma), Jose Gonzalez (Rosa), and Maria Perez (Eliseo).

A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home, Groves Texas from 5 pm until 8 pm, with a rosary to be prayed at 6 pm lead by Mrs. Corina Quintela.

A 10:30 am Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, September 19, 2016 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Father Urbano Saenz as celebrate. Entombment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, Texas.

In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests donations to the Humane Society of your choice or any animal shelter in the name of Hilda Gonzalez Torres.
