Loretta Ann Heid September 24, 1934 - October 8, 2016

Loretta Ann Heid, 82, of Sabine Pass passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at her residence.

Loretta was born in Port Arthur, Texas on September 24, 1934 to parents Vivian (Daigle) and George Theodore Peltier Sr.. She was a lifelong resident of Sabine Pass. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Sabine Pass and after hurricane Ike; she attend St. Therese, the Little Flower of Jesus Catholic Church in Port Acres. She had worked at Petroleum Helicopter Inc. for many years. Loretta enjoyed cooking, working in her yard and feeding and watching hummingbirds. Loretta was a loving mother, grandmother and friends who will be missed dearly.

She was preceded in death by his parents; her husband, Dennis James Heid Sr.; her daughter, Janet Heid Rhodes; her brothers, George “Junior” Peltier Jr., Gerald Peltier Sr.; her sister, Janice Alphin.

Loretta is survived by her sons, Dennis James Heid Jr. and wife, Patrica of Sabine Pass, Theodore “Ted” Heid of Port Arthur, Jerry Thomas Heid and wife, Kristi of Sabine Pass; her daughter, Lisa Heid of Sabine Pass. Also left to cherish her memory are her eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 from 5 pm until 8 pm at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home, with a rosary to be prayed at 6:30 pm at the funeral home. A 10 am Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at St. Therese, the Little Flower of Jesus Catholic Church, celebrant will be Rev. Rejimon E. George . Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Port Arthur.
