Gwendolyn "Gwen" Mary Duhon August 30, 1952 - November 16, 2016

Gwendolyn “Gwen” Duhon, 64, of Port Arthur passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Christus St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur.

She was born on August 30, 1952 to Margaret Suggs Whitaker and Jack Whitaker in Beaumont, Texas. Gwen lived all of her life in the area; she graduated from South Park High School in 1972. She was affiliated with Gateway Baptist Church.

Gwen was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Darrell Whitaker.

She is survived by her loving husband, Daniel Duhon of Port Arthur, her sons, Brandon Duhon and wife, Laura and their four children of Groves, Shawn Duhon of Lumberton, Allen Duhon of Lumberton, her daughters, Danese Wise and her four children of Lumberton, Monique Concepcion and husband, Jose and their four children of Port Arthur, Melissa Spell and husband, Tate and their five children of Humble along with five great grandchildren.

She is also survived by her sisters, Jacqueline Whittaker and husband, Robert of Nederland, Pat Edwards and husband, Gene of Humble, several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Monday, November 21, 2016 from 5 PM till 8 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Service to honor Gwen’s life will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 22, 2016 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson. Arrangements for cremation are entrusted to Clayton Thompson Funeral Directors in Groves.
