Nancy Joy Pritchard

Nancy Joy Pritchard October 20, 1957 - June 1, 2017

Nancy Joy Pritchard, 59, of Port Neches passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2017.

The greatest thing one can give of themselves is their self. As a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and caring friend, Nancy remained true to the simple adage of it’s nice to be nice and always put others before herself.  In Nancy’s passing, we lost an angel that walked with us on earth, but gained an angel who will continue to watch over us all.

As a lifelong resident of Port Neches, every turn, every street reminds us of her. She will live on in our hearts and memories. Her radiant smile, joy and laughter will help guide us on our own journeys through life.

Though her soul has left this earth, her memory will persist in our hearts forever. Her easy smile brought joy during times of sadness. Her great ability to love all, often demonstrated through a hug or a simple selfless act, helped many of us navigate challenging times in our lives or simply made a bad day better.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mildred Badgett Jr..

Nancy is survived by her husband, Woodrow Pritchard of Port Neches; daughters, Lindsey Mathias and husband, Jim of Dallas, Emily Corley and husband, William of Nederland; step sons, Joey Pritchard and wife, Kim of Port Neches, Andy Pritchard and wife, Candice of LaBelle; brother, Larry Badgett of California; sisters, Carole Badgett of Austin, Patti Gagne of Austin and Martha Badgett of Kendalia, TX. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and a large extended family.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2017 from 5 PM until 8 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 5, 2017 at 2 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Nancy/Mom/Granny, “words are incapable of describing the loss we feel now. We continue on, lucky to have spent time with you on this earth, and dream of a day seeing you again in heaven.”
