Esteree R. Bishop June 3, 1919 - July 17, 2017

Esteree R. Bishop went to her heavenly home on July 17, 2017 at the age of 98. She was born June 3, 1919 in Sabine Parish, La. She moved to Port Arthur after graduating high school and lived there many years before moving to Nederland, Texas. She worked for Texaco Island Port Arthur and retired from JC Penney as a sales associate after several years of service.

She is survived by her son, David Wayne Bishop of Nederland, Texas, her daughter, Linda Merle Floyd and husband, Bill of Port Arthur, Texas. Her grandchildren, Kevin Floyd and wife, Jamie, Kris Floyd, Bryce Wayne Bishop and wife, Candace, Barrett Henry Bishop and wife, Shawna. Her Great grandchildren are Mindy Floyd, Chelsea Floyd Berg and husband, Brad, Hunter Floyd, Ella Grace Bishop, Kylie Vincent, Evelyn Shuff. She was looking forward to seeing another great grandbaby and her first great-great grandbaby that are on the way. She is also survived by her brother, Herman Ridgeway and wife, Norma of Groves, Texas, her sister, Mary Ann James and husband, Win of Athens, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Esteree is preceded in death by her parents, William A. and Viola Estelle Byrd Ridgeway, her husband, William Henry Bishop, her two sisters, Ruth Evelyn Byrd and Betty R. Letbetter and her brother, Bobby Dean Ridgeway.

Visitation will be on Friday, July 21, 2017 from 10 AM till 11 AM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Service will follow at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Clayton Thompson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Ridgewood Baptist Church, 2920 Lake Arthur Drive, Port Arthur, Texas 77642 in memory of Esteree.
