Sadie "Meme" Elizabeth Harrington August 30, 1933 - September 26, 2017

Sadie “Meme” Elizabeth Harrington, 84, of Groves passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 surrounded by her loving family at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt and Meme.

Sadie was born on August 30, 1933 in Port Arthur to parents Mary (Mondello) and Sam Bruno. She had lived in the Groves area for 65 plus years and was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Groves. She enjoyed going to the beach and coloring in her adult coloring books. Sadie loved spending time with her family especially at Thanksgiving and the 4th of July, getting together with all the extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Roy Bruno, Nick Bruno, Joe Bruno; her sisters, Mary Hebert and Rosie Licatino.

Sadie is survived by her husband of 62 years, Wilton “Will” Joseph Harrington of Groves; her children, Brett Harrington and his wife, Kim of Nederland, Kandice Breaux and her husband, Jody of Nederland, Dawn Broussard and her husband, Allen of Seabrook, TX; her sisters, Kathryn Monk of Groves, Lena Mallet of Groves, Angeline Tootsie Dartez of Groves. Also left cherish her memory are her grandchildren, Bobby G. Jones, Bryce Breaux, Olivia Harrington and her spouse, Diana, Isa Brie Broussard; six great grandchildren; including Meme’s Joslynn and one great-great grandchild.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 11:30 AM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home, with a gathering of family and friends from 9:30 AM until service time. Celebrant will be Rev. J. C. Coon. Entombment will follow at Greenlawn Memory Park in Groves.
