Randy Dale Young January 23, 1974 - December 19, 2017

Randy Dale Young, 43, of Port Arthur passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at his residence.

Randy was born on January 23, 1974 in DeRidder, Louisiana to parents Linda (Depew) and Jake Young. He attended and was proud of Lamar University, where he received Bachelor of the Arts degree in history. Randy had worked in sales for many years; last employer was Ashley Furniture for the last 10 years. He enjoyed going to the movies, especially Star Wars and Marvel movies. Randy was an avid Astros fan; was so happy they won the Worlds Series and he liked watching wrestling. Randy was a loving person, who loved spending time with his family.

Randy is survived by his parents, Jake and Linda Young of Hemphill; his sister, Pamela Young Edwards and her husband, Brent, his nephews, Jonathan and Matthew Edwards. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2017 from 6 PM until 8 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 22, 2017 at 10 AM at funeral home, with Rev. David Logan officiating. A committal service will be held on Friday, December 22, 2017 at 2:30 PM at Cannon Cemetery in Merryville, La.

I am so very sorry for your loss of Randy, even though I didn't get to know him personally. Losing a loved one in death can be very distressing to go through. But the Bible promises a hope for the future for our loved ones. It's found at John 5:28,29 which says,"All those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out!"
