Wanda M. Mayfield, 68, of Groves passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur.

She was born on August 1, 1949 to her parents, Henry A. Myers and Helen Wright Myers in Tallulah, Louisiana. Wanda has been a longtime resident of Groves and graduated from Port Neches-Groves High School in 1967. She worked for Arco Chemical as a Clerical worker with 20 years of service. Wanda was a part time Avon representative. She was a member of Church on the Rock.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Wanda is survived by her loving husband, Donald W. Mayfield of Groves, her daughter, Tiffany Mallet Halbert and her husband, Jeffrey of The Woodlands, Texas, her two step-sons, Dean Mayfield and his wife, Cassie of Sour Lake, Jeffery Mayfield and his wife, Laurie of Groves, her six grandchildren, Makala Benoit, Jude Halbert, Justin Mayfield, Klay Mayfield, Dail Mayfield and Cameron Mayfield, one great granddaughter, Makenzie. She is also survived by her two sisters, Cindy Hooker and Michelle Forse both of Port Neches along with several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Thursday, April 12, 2018 from 11:00 AM till 1:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Service to honor Wanda’s life will be celebrated at 1:00 PM Thursday, April 12, 2018 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson. Burial will follow in Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
