Marilyn Herron Davis July 26, 1933 - April 30, 2018

Marilyn Herron Davis, 84, of Groves passed away on Monday, April 30, 2018 at Dubuis Hospital in Beaumont.

She was born on July 26, 1933 to her parents, Perry W. Herron and Naomi Davison Herron in Coffeyville, Kansas. Marilyn was a longtime resident of Groves. She retired as an office manager after working for several local businesses.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Ann Burns and her husband, Mark of Beaumont, her son, Rob Vensel of Groves, two grandchildren, Sunni Farren and her husband, Josh and Austin Vensel and two great grandchildren, Audrick and Mathis Farren.

She is also survived by her brother, Earl Steen of San Juan Capistrano, California.

Visitation will be on Friday, May 4, 2018 from 5:00 PM till 7:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Service to honor Marilyn’s life will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 5, 2018 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens in Nederland.

Ann & Rob, I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom was so good to me when I was such a young homemaker & mother. I spent many hours with her doing crafts & just running errands. She was an important person in my younger life. I've loved her. Peace be with you and your family.
