Linda Marie Umphrey February 3, 1946 - May 31, 2018

Linda Marie Umphrey, 72, of LaBelle passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at home surrounded by her family.

Linda was born on February 3, 1946 in DeRidder, Louisiana to parents Louise (Bourque) and Fred Hebert Sr. She had lived the last 9 years in LaBelle; prior in Nederland. Linda was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and she was a Farmers Insurance Agent for 30 plus years in the area. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Dane, in the family RV, loved cooking for and spending time with family. Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend who will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Gerald Hebert; her sister, Barbara Vickers.

Linda is survived by her husband of 48 years, Dane Umphrey of LaBelle; her sons, Lee Brown and his wife, Melisa of Beaumont, Daren Umphrey and his wife, Angela of Canyon Lake, TX, Chad Umphrey of Nederland, Dale Umphrey of Nederland; her brother, Fred Hebert Jr. and his wife, Judy of Groves, her sister, Patricia Gillespie and her husband, Hugh of Groesbeck, TX. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 4, 2018 from 11 AM until 1:30 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home, with a rosary to be prayed at 12 noon at the funeral home. A 2 PM Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 4, 2018 at St. Charles Catholic Church in Nederland. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Nederland.
