Jimmy Rayford Guy Sr.

Jimmy Rayford Guy Sr. 71, of Port Acres passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at his resident.

Jimmy was born on November 26, 1946 to parents Elzaty (Paine) and Estern Emory Guy. He was a lifelong residence of Port Arthur and a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Jimmy served his country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War and had worked at Goodyear as a mechanic for many years. In his young years, he enjoyed going fishing and riding his motorcycle. Jimmy was a loving man who will be dearly missed.

He preceded in death by his parents; his sons, Darryl William Guy, Jimmy (Jim Bo) Rayford Guy, Jr.; his brothers, John Michael Guy and Daniel Wayne Guy.

Jimmy is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lily Suzonne (Whatley) Guy of Port Acres; his siblings, Richard Guy and wife, Vickie of Georgetown; Woodrow Guy of Port Arthur, David Guy and wife, Darnell of Lumberton; Tim Guy and wife, Marilyn of Port Neches, Stephen Guy and wife, Melinda of Port Arthur, Linda Moore and husband, Johnny of Orange. He is also survived by grandchildren, Tiffanie Jaide, Jacob Evan and numerous nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from 3 PM until 6 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 6 PM at the funeral home. Cremation arrangements under the direction of Clayton Thompson Funeral Home.
