Nealie Belle Hebert, of Bridge City, formerly of Port Arthur, passed away on Monday, November 8, 2021 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas.
Nealie was born on February 2, 1933 in Luverne, Alabama to parents Ella (Stephens) and Gaston Owens. She had lived in Port Arthur for many years and the last few years in Bridge City. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Groves, where she worked in the day care. Nealie enjoyed going fishing and camping, sewing, reading, especially Stephen King Books and watching Turner Classic Movies. She also enjoyed her IPad; posting food recipes and playing Candy Crush. Nealie was a loving person who will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gaston and Ella Owens, husband, Sosthene “S. J.” Hebert, her brothers, Bobby Owens, and Jimmy Owens.
Nealie is survived by her children, Val Albright and his wife, Rita of Dallas, Cheyenne Collier and her husband, Vernon of Bridge City, Sydney Simmons and her husband, Jimmy of Bridge City, her sister, Virginia Price of Rockledge, FL. She is also survived by her step daughters, Betty Wind and her husband, Doug, Carrie Hebert and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home, with a gathering of family and friends from 1:00 PM until service time. Entombment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
