Theresa Landry Suire, 92, formerly of Groves, TX, passed away on February 24, 2022 at Collier Park in Beaumont, TX.
Born in Eunice, LA on April 9, 1929. Theresa was a former hairdresser, housewife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of IC/St. Peter's Catholic Church. She was involved in the Sertoma Club, Mother's Club, Altar Society and was always willing to serve and volunteer. She had a tremendous faith in God, loved cooking (and won several cooking contests), sewing, traveling, enjoying the beach and making all types of crafts, and was very talented with anything she did. As our Matriarch, she will be greatly missed. According to her, she had a full and happy life, where she enjoyed running home from school to watch "As The World Turns" to finding true love twice in her life. There was always plenty of love, laugher and fun around her.
Theresa is preceded in death by her parents, W.H. and Mary Foret, first husband of 41 years, C. G. Landry and second husband of 25 years, Allen Suire, her sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Calvin Hebert and son-in-law James Mitchell.
She is survived by her daughters, Charlene Mitchell of Port Neches, Karen Mills and husband Terry of Hemphill, her son, Gene Landry and daughter-in-law Ann of Port Neches, her brother, Ben Foret of Eunice, LA, 3 grandchildren, Bryan Mitchell and wife, Holly, Ashley Morphey and husband Jonathan and Jared Mills, 2 great grandchildren, Luke and Ty Mitchell, nieces Phyllis Russo and husband Louis, Michelle Hebert and Lynnette Brown. Step-daughters Charlotte Pellerin and husband John, Denise Suire, Kelly Rask and husband Jim, step-son Glenn Suire and wife Pat, 6 step-grand children and 6 step-great grandchildren.
Her services will be held at IC/St. Peter's Church on Tuesday, March 1st. Visitation at the Church from 9 am - 11 am, Mass to follow at 11 am, burial at Greenlawn Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Stephanie, Sheila, Tiffany, Fallon, Brenda and all of her caregivers as well as Harbor Hospice for taking such loving care of our mom.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude's Hospital or a charity of your choice.
