Roselee Guidry

Roselee Turano Guidry, 87, of Beaumont passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at her home.

She was born in Port Arthur, Texas on January 26, 1933 to her parents, Mike Turano and Pauline LaRussa Turano. Roselee was a lielong resident of the Beaumont area. She was a member of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Beaumont. In 1956, she opened Three Sister’s Café on Houston Avenue in Port Arthur. Roselee started the Toys for Tots in Beaumont, where gifts were sent to soldiers in Vietnam with the United States Marine Corp. and later expanded to gifts for children at Christmas. She was honored by the United States Marine Corp for her work with Vietnam Soldiers. She and her husband, George enjoyed being together and worked on many St. Joseph’s Altar, going to the casino and attending garage sales as well as holding many garage sales. George loved her very much and called her “Doll” all the time. She had a deep love for Jesus and all the saints. Roselee loved to dance, jungle shows and scary movies.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, Josephine, Virginia, Francis, Milton and Johnny, her husband, George E. Guidry.

Roselee is survived by her son, Michael Guidry, her daughter, Lucy Ann Guidry, several grandchildren and her sister, Lucy Walker along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Private services will be under the direction of Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
