Robbie Cheryl Reed

Robbie Cheryl Reed, 75, was born February 8th, 1948 to John and June Pierce in Port Arthur, TX. She grew up in Port Arthur and graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in 1966. She met, and eventually married the love of her life Steve Reed on June 16, 1969. Robbie and Steve moved to Nederland, TX in the mid 1970’s to raise their two sons Ryan Colby Reed and Joshua Reed. In the years following Robbie and Steve along with friends Carol and Mike Maxwell opened the Fighting Dragons Karate School. This became more than just a side business for them, it became their passion. Robbie was always there to greet everyone with her uplifting personality, and was at every tournament to encourage all the students as well as lend a helping hand. Robbie was never one to talk about herself or ask for help, it just wasn’t in her nature. She was always there to give to everyone in need, to listen to anyone that wanted to talk and to lend a helping hand anywhere she could. Robbie was a member of the Christian Fellowship Church and a true believer in Christ. Her astounding faith in the Lord was evident in every aspect of her life. Robbie was called home on March 1st, 2023 at her home in Groves, TX.

She is survived by her two sons Ryan Colby Reed of The Woodlands, Joshua Reed of Groves, TX with girlfriend Jessica LaBleu, her two grandsons, Landon Reed of Vidor, TX and Braylen Reed of Groves, TX, her sister Prisci Davenport of Beaumont, TX, cousin Kay Reed of Groves, TX and Kenneth and Debbie Reed of Sam Rayburn, TX along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins from around the world.

She is preceded in death by her husband Steve Reed, parents John and June Pierce. her sister, Suzy Hardin, her brothers John D. and Ronnie Lloyd.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Christian Fellowship Church 3950 Pointe Parkway Beaumont, TX 77706.

Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves.
