Minnie Rachel Greer Weaver

Minnie Rachel Weaver, 90, of Port Arthur passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Community Retirement Center in Port Arthur.

Minnie was born on February 1, 1934 in Port Arthur, Texas, one of twelve children born to parents Anel Lucille (Ellender) and Hatton Lee Greer. She was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur and was member of First Pentecostal Church of Port Arthur. She was a cashier clerk for many years a Nick’s Groceries Store. She enjoyed reading, working puzzles and Minnie loved spending time with her grandchildren and her great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hatton and Anel Greer, her brothers, Dan, David, George, Hatton, Sam and her sisters, Anel, Debbie, Ellender, Mildred and Leona.

Minnie is survived by her son, Dan Wesley Weaver, Jr. and his wife, DeAnn A. Weaver of Oakdale, LA, her daughters, Rachel Danea Cormier and her husband, Willie J. Cormier of Groves, TX, Sarah Ellen Mullen and her husband, Ronald G. Mullen of La Porte, TX and her sister, Emily Irene Weaver of Groves, TX. She is also survived by her six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 19, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, under the direction of Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves.
