Melba Linda Medina

Melba Linda Medina, 63, of Port Arthur passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at St. Luke's Hospital in Houston.

Melba was born on July 20, 1956 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She had worked in the Port Arthur area for many years in various caring positions; she also attended St. Joseph Catholic Church. Melba enjoyed being on her computer; being on facebook, playing games, listening to music and going dancing. Melba was a beloved daughter, mother, sister and aunt who loved spending time with her family, friends, and extended family, she will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joaquin Romero Sr., her mother, Teresa M. Romero and her son, Daniel Lopez Jr.

Melba is survived by her siblings, Richard Edward Chang and his wife, Mary of Ocean City, MD, Sam Rodriquez and his wife, Blanca of Houston, TX, Carmen Diaz of Crosby, TX and Joaquin Romero Jr. of Houston, TX. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, greats included.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, January 17, 2020 at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves, with a gathering of family and friends from 11:00 AM until service time. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Nederland.
