Maria P. Estupinan De Fernandez

Maria P. Estupinan de Fernandez, 46, of Port Arthur passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas.

She was born on May 16, 1975 in Rio Grande, Zacateas, Mexico to her parents, Jose Eleno Estupinan, Sr. and Maria Esparza Estupinan. Maria has been a resident of the area since 1993. She was a devoted homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death her brother, Jose Eleno Estupinan, Jr.

Maria is survived by her loving husband, Jose Arturo Fernandez of Port Arthur; her parents, Jose Eleno Estupinan, Sr. and Maria Esparza Estupinan her daughter, Yajaira Fernandez of Port Arthur; her two sons, Jose Fernandez, Jr. and Cristian Fernandez both of Port Arthur along with her six sisters, Lupita Estupinan, Mary Estupinan, Malu Grandara and Alicia Estupinan all of Port Arthur, Nicole Estupinan of California and Hillary Arguelles of Las Vegas, Nevada; her two brothers, Isaias Estupinan and Daniel Estupinan both of Port Arthur as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 6:30 PM in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Port Arthur. Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery in Port Arthur.

All visitors that attend the services must wear face mask or facial covering to prevent the spread of the virus.
