Lucille Rita Hebert LeDoux, 97, of Groves passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at her daughter’s home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on February 4, 1923 to her parents, Norbert Hebert, Sr. and Anita Landry Hebert in Jeanerette, Louisiana. Lucille has been a resident of the area for most of her life. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1939. Lucille worked at Woolworth for a number of years as a secretary until the store closed, she then worked at Woolco until she retired in 1983. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Port Arthur.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Nancy Louise Bossley, her two sons, Louis LeDoux, Jr. , Mark David LeDoux and her husband, Louis LeDoux, Sr.
She is survived by her two daughters, Linda Ann McElroy and her husband, Larry of Spring, Texas, Judy Manuel and her husband, Carol of Groves, 10 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Norbert “Blackie” Hebert, Jr. of Port Arthur, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Thursday, June 11, 2020 from 1:00 PM till 3:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 2:00 PM in the Clayton Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson. Service to honor Lucille’s life will be at 3:00 PM Thursday in the Clayton Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
