Linda Suann Broussard Nunez

Linda S. Broussard-Nunez, 75, born March 13, 1949, passed away peacefully with her husband at her side in her home in Port Arthur Texas on December 16, 2024, after a long illness.  It is with heavy hearts that the family announce the passing of their beloved wife, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Linda touched the lives of everyone she met with her beautiful smile, kindness, compassion, love, affection, caring, and for the incredible joy she brought to so many, and who will be remembered for her warmth and incredible spirit.

The eldest of four children of Jack J. Broussard and Josephine M. Leone-Broussard of Port Arthur, a Red Hussars Graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School Class of 1967, she leaves behind her incredibly devoted, caring and loving of a husband, Juan Antonio “Tony” Nunez, who she married 37 years ago on November 5, 1988, her daughter Shawna Hynes-Thompson and son-in-law Randy Thompson, four grandchildren, Randa, Cassidy, Hayden and Sydney, two great grandchildren Drake Abbot and Timber Abbot and their father Dusty Abbot, all of Depew Oklahoma. her brother, Roland J. Broussard and life-partner Eugene E. Serra of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, nieces and nephews Paige Broussard and husband Jerrod, Ryan Broussard and wife Pam of Beaumont, Carrie Broussard of The Woodlands, Cody Broussard and wife Leah of Nederland, Ashley Broussard and husband, a beloved aunt and family Matriarch, Mary “May” Frances Leone-Hampton, cousins Kayleen, Becky, and Julie, Phillip R. Pampolina and wife Ginger and their children Damon and Carla of Houston, Pete Pampolina and wife Linda of Tyler, Deanna Broussard-LeJune of Nederland, Deborah Broussard-Sons and husband Steve of Vidor, Terry Lynn Broussard, and numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and their extended families, and many dear friends and wonderful neighbors.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Raymond J. Broussard and Ronald P. “Bruce” Broussard, grandparents Marguerite Palermo-Leone and Joseph Leone, and Edmie and Richard C. Broussard all of Port Arthur.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in honor of Linda S. Broussard Nunez may be made to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital at: stjude.org., which was dear to Linda’s heart.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m., at Clayton-Thompson Funeral Home at 5200 39th Street, Groves, Texas. Family, friends, and all those whose lives were enriched by her presence are invited to attend.

Linda’s radiant smile and unwavering love for everyone will be dearly missed, but her spirit will remain close in all our hearts forever.
