Kris B. Floyd

Kris B. Floyd, 58, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away peacefully on April 23, 2023 at the Tennessee Valley HealthCare Veteran’s Hospital in Nashville, TN.

After graduating from Alief Elsik High School in 1983, Kris went to Houston Community College 1983 thru 1985 after which he joined the United States Navy and spent 4 years sailing the Indian Ocean and visiting Ports of Call.  Kris was stationed at the San Diego Naval Base and served on the USS FIFE DD 991. After the Navy he went on to earn a degree in psychology from the University of Houston May 1998.

Kris had many hobbies including surfing, riding motorcycles, playing the bass guitar and drums. He enjoyed listening to the blues.  He had a passion for going fishing with friends, in Louisiana and Pleasure Island in Port Arthur.

Kris is survived by his parents, Bill and Linda Bishop Floyd of Port Arthur, Brother Kevin Floyd and family, Uncle David Bishop, cousins Bryce Bishop and Barrett Bishop, along with many good friends who mourn his passing.
