Kenneth Faite Browning, 97, of Lumberton passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at his home.
He was born in Fields, Louisiana on March 13, 1923 to his parents, Edward Browning and Alice Pickering Browning. Kenneth graduated from DeQuincy High School and served in the U. S. Navy during WWII. After the war, he moved to the Sabine Pass area for work, where he lived for over 37 years. Kenneth retired as a boilermaker with the Local Boilermakers Union #487, where he worked for various companies all over.
He was preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings, his wife, Jean R. Browning and his two sons, Robert Neal Browning and Richard Browning, his grandson, Adam Browning.
Kenneth is survived by his daughter, Kenna Wise and her husband, James of Lumberton; his two sons, James E. Browning and his wife, Annyce of Mississippi, Keith W. Browning and his wife, Jackie of DeQuincy, LA., his ten grandchildren, James E. Browning, Jr. and his wife, Tracy, Keith W. Browning II and his wife, Lisa, Richard Browning and his wife, Crystal, Cammie Browning and her husband, Keith, Robert C. Browning and his wife, Michelle, Brian Browning and his wife, Lynn, Steven Browning and his wife, Kristy, Jeanie Louvier, Amber Morse and Olin Browning along with numerous great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Betty Walker of Moss Hill as well as numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Monday, September 28, 2020 from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Graveside service will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 29, 2020 in Sabine Pass Cemetery. Due to the Covid-19 crisis we are currently in, all visitors are required to wear face mask or covering and practice social distancing as mandated by the state and county officials.
