Joyce Everett

Joyce(Davis) Everett, 91, of Groves, died peacefully Friday, December 3, 2021, after a lengthy illness.  She was residing at Brookdale Dowlen Oaks in Beaumont at the time of her death.

Joyce is preceded in death by her beloved husband, James (Jimmie) Everett; parents, Claude and Jesse Davis; sister, Donna Elliott; and brother, John Davis.

Joyce was born in Franklin, PA on December 18, 1929; and was a 1947 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School.  She was a member of the First United Methodist in Griffing Park, where she was the secretary of the Methodist Women.  She was a member of the United Board of Missions.

Joyce is survived by her son, John Edward and wife Karen of Groves; three granddaughters, Brooke Everett of Granby, CT, Blair (Everett) Patzner and husband Brett of Newport Beach, CA, and Lauren Everett of Burlington, CT; one sister, Phyllis Lancon and husband Lloyd of Beaumont; one brother, David Davis and wife Pauline of Port Arthur; and a host of nieces.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 am, Thursday, December 9 th at Greenlawn Memorial Park with Kurt Ervin, officiating. Arrangements under the direction of Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves.
