Jeffrey Wayne Davis, 57, of Port Acres passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at his home.
He was born on November 27, 1962 to his parents, Richard Wayne “Pooky” Davis and Virginia “Ginny” A. Bates Davis in Port Arthur, Texas. Jeffrey was a lifelong resident of the area and graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in 1981. He worked as a welder with the Boilermakers Local #587 for over 39 years. Jeffrey was a member of St. John United Methodist Church in Port Acres.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Wayne “Pooky” Davis.
Jeffrey is survived by his son, Junior Wayne Davis and his mother, Erica Vaughan, his mother, Virginia “Ginny” Hennigan and husband, Bubba, his sister, Deanna Toutcheque and husband, Johnny, his brother, Stephen Davis and wife, Michelle, nieces and nephews, Brandi (Mark) Holt, Kaylan (Cody) Turnbull, Josh (Nicole) McFarland, Branden (Sadie) Toutcheque, Stephen Davis, great nieces and nephews, Brandon Holt, Caden Holt, Kyle McFarland, Audree Turnbull and Jaxon Turnbull as well as several aunts and uncles, cousins.
Visitation will be on Sunday, January 19, 2020 from 3 PM till 4 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Service to honor Jeffrey’s life will be at 4 PM Sunday at Clayton Thompson. Arrangements for cremation are entrusted to Clayton Thompson Funeral Directors in Groves.
