Jackie Gene Hickey

Jackie Gene Hickey, 89, of Port Neches passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at his residence.

Gene was born on June 4, 1931 in Port Arthur, Texas to parents Eula (Patin) and Clayton Harris Hickey. He was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur and Port Neches and he was of the Church of Christ Faith. Gene graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. Gene retired from Texaco Oil Refinery after 42 years of employment as a supervisor. He enjoyed working in his yard and garden. Gene was a loving person who will be missed dearly.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clayton and Eula Hickey, his first wife, Jane Hickey, his second wife, Jane Parker Hickey, his sons, Gary Hickey, Terry Hickey and his daughter, Betsy Rich.

Gene is survived by his son, Randy Hickey and wife, Wanda, his son in law, David Rich, his sister, Faye McGill, his four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by stepsons, Rory Parker and Monty Parker.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, May 3, 2021 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park on Monday, May 3, 2021
