Israel Quiroz-McCoy, 46, of Port Arthur passed away on Monday, March 22, 2021 at his home.
He was born on January 19, 1975 in Nicaragua to his parents, Wilson W. McCoy and Maria Quiroz. Israel has been a resident of Port Arthur for 34 years. He worked as a welder with Southeast Texas Industries for many years. Israel was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Port Arthur.
He is survived by his loving wife, Maira Aguado McCoy of Port Arthur; his daughter, Maryann McCoy of Port Arthur; his son, Ryan McCoy of Port Arthur; his mother, Maria Quiroz of Nicaragua; His father, Wilson W. McCoy and his wife, Olga of Mont Belvieu, Texas along with numerous siblings and other family members.
Visitation will be on Friday, March 26, 2021 from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 6:30 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Rev. Urbano Sáenz Ramírez, officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves.
Due to the Covid-19 crisis we are currently in, all visitors to the funeral home are required to wear facemask or coverings and practice social distancing.
