Howard "Butch" John Touchette Jr.

Howard "Butch" John Touchette Jr., 75, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at his home.

Butch was born on June 28, 1945 in Port Arthur, Texas to parents Rosa Rita (Pelloat) and Howard John Touchette Sr. He served his country in the Navy during the Vietnam War. Butch retired from Valero Refinery as an operator after many years of employment. Butch was a member of Immaculate Conception-St. Peter Catholic Church and a member of the Groves Knights of Columbus. Butch enjoyed going fishing, working in his garden and wood working; he built the cabinet in his house. Butch was a loving person who will be dearly missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Rosa Touchette Sr., his sister, Leni Gail Aleman, and his wife, Marylyn Mannino Touchette.

Butch is survived by his sons, John Touchette Jr. of Groves, Jason Touchette and his wife, Norma of Port Neches, his brother, Earl Touchette and his wife, Jean of Groves, his sisters, Gloria Tompkins and her husband, James of Zavalla, Dorothy Fuselier of Port Acres. He is also survived by his granddaughters, Bailey Touchette, Josie Touchette, his great grandchild, Enzo Addison and a large extended family.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2020 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home, with a rosary to be prayed at 6:30 pm at the funeral home. An 11:00 AM Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 24, 2020 at Immaculate Conception-St. Peter Catholic Church in Groves. The family is honoring Butch's wishes, cremation will be held after the services under the direction of Clayton Thompson Funeral Home.

Due to the Covid-19 crisis we are currently in, all visitors to the funeral home and the church are required to wear facemask or covering and practice social distancing as mandated by the State and County officials.
