Harry Hubert Heinen, III, 74, of Pearland, Texas passed away on Friday, June 14, 2024 at Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital in Houston.
He was born on October 23, 1949 in Port Arthur, Texas to Alice Elizabeth Domaschk and Harry H. Heinen, Jr. Harry grew up in Groves, Tx and he was a proud 1967 graduate from Port Neches Groves High School. He joined the US army and served from 1968 - 1972 and was stationed in Frankfurt, Germany. After his service in the army, he moved to Pasadena, Tx where he married and began his family. While living in Pasadena, he worked for Phillips 66 for 25+ years and then moved to Groves, Tx where he finished his career after 10 years with the state prison. Upon retirement, he moved to Bandera for the next 10 years, where he made his home. After his health started to decline, he moved back to the Houston area to be close to his daughters and grandchildren.
Harry's fondest memories were spending time with family. When his health allowed, you were sure to find him spending time at his Hidden Hilltop Hideaway in Bandera, Texas or spending time on the flat rocks on the Medina River. He enjoyed every minute of being outdoors which entailed working in his garden, feeding his cows, goats, deer, and most importantly his pets. If he wasn't doing that, you were sure to find him relaxing in his rocking chair with a cup of coffee on his back porch. He was "Papa Bandera" to his four grandchildren whom he adored and who still to this day share their favorite memories with him in his favorite place. Harry will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends. He is now reunited with his parents, Harry and Elizabeth and nephew Jeffrey, along with a host of other family and friends.
Harry is survived by his two daughters, Heather Ann Jordan and husband Clark of Pearland, Heidi Heinen Lott and husband Albert of Pasadena; his grandchildren, Chloe and Camie Jordan, Jacob and Savannah Lott. His sisters, Cindy Zampini and husband Randy of Groves, Debbie Deloney of Port Neches; his nephews, Corey Zampini, Rodney Zampini, Jamey Deloney and Jace Deloney as well as numerous great nieces and nephews along with his faithful four-legged companion, Sadie.
Visitation will be on Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 1:00 PM till 2:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves.
