Glenda Lee Moore Bolia-Welch, 62, of Groves passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at her home.
She was born on April 20, 1958 in Port Arthur, Texas to her parents, Louis Edward Moore and Geraldine Johnson Moore. Glenda was a lifelong resident of the area and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1976 and received her technical training at Stillwell Technical Center. She retired as a Surgical Technician after 42 years of service that included Mid-Jeff Hospital and the Medical Center of Southeast Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Louis Edward Moore and her son, Jeremy Scott Welch who just passed away on July 22, 2020.
Glenda is survived by her son, Jason Edward Welch and his wife, Victoria of Houston; her two grandchildren, Jayce and Gabrielle Welch, her daughter in law, Deloris Welch of Groves, three step-grandchildren, Lani Johnston, Taylor Johnston and Damian Cunningham. She is also survived by her common law husband, Joel Waller of Groves along with the father of her children, Scott Welch of Groves.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Service to honor Glenda’s life will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 5, 2020 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson. Arrangements for cremation are entrusted to Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. Burial of her ashes will be at Noon, Saturday, August 8, 2020 in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Due to the Covid-19 crisis we are currently in, all visitors to the funeral home are required to wear face mask or coverings and practice social distancing as mandated by State and County officials.
