Evelyn Mae Michalk

Evelyn Mae Michalk, 98, of Beaumont, formerly of Port Arthur passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Rosemary House in Beaumont.

Evelyn was born on November 5, 1924 in Many, Louisiana to parents Mae (Davis) and Guy Ambrose Jackson. She had lived most of her life in the Port Arthur area and was a member of St. James Catholic Church. She enjoyed crocheting and taking care of her family. Evelyn volunteered as a Pink Lady at St. Mary’s Hospital for many years and was very active in the Port Arthur Sertoma Club. Evelyn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mae Davis and Guy Jackson and her husband, Oscar Arthur Michalk.

Evelyn is survived by her two sons, Ronald Michalk and his wife, Lorraine of Groves, Donald Michalk of Groves; her eight grandchildren, Chad Michalk and his wife, Tonya of Lumberton, Jeremy Michalk and his wife, Grace of Port Neches, Jason Michalk and his wife, Keely of Nederland, Kelley Wueller and her husband, Andrew of Port Neches, Lauren Rodriguez and her husband, Josh of Port Neches, Kevin Michalk and his wife, Kelli of Port Neches, Kayla Meyer and her husband, Scott of Groves, Sarah Gorman and her husband, Chris of Groves; her great grandchildren, Madelyn and Abigail McCullough, Jeremy Michalk, Jr., Jaeger Michalk, Lilly Michalk, Luke, Lexi, Gabe and Ava Wueller, Griffin and Grant Rodriguez, Kaden, McKenna and Kohen Michalk, Jackson, Waylon and Colton Meyer, Jadyn, Wesley, Wyatt and Jameson Gorman and one great-great grandchild, Maddox Michalk along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 23, 2023 at 10:00 AM in Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home, with a gathering of family and friends from 9:00 AM until service time. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
