David Richardson, 79, of Bridge City passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
He was born on May 12, 1941 to his parents, Jeff Thomas Outhouse and Vida Richardson Outhouse in Port Arthur, Texas. David graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1959 and served in the U. S. Army reserves. He retired as an electrician with IBEW Local 479, where he worked at a local plant for most of his career. David was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, where he helped with security and was a volunteer with his wife at the grocery delivery program at the church, “Outside Your Door”. He also volunteered at the local food bank, Bridge City/Orangefield Ministerial Alliance. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and dominoes including Mexican train.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his seven siblings, Doris Simpson, Frances Adams, Leta Faye Rowan, Betty Jo Outhouse, William S. Outhouse, Bill Thomas Outhouse and Donald Wayne Outhouse.
David is survived by his loving wife, Alice Falcon Richardson of Bridge City, his two sons, David Paul Richardson and his wife, Ricca of Houston, Brian Keith Richardson and his wife, Cheryl of Fort Worth, six grandchildren, Grant Allen Richardson, Blaine Paul Richardson, Reid Thomas Richardson, Julia Lane Richardson, Keith David Richardson and Ella Kate Richardson along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 from 9:00 AM till 10:45 AM at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Bridge City. Service to honor David’s life will be at 10:45 am at the church with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves.
In lieu of flowers, family request donations to Bridge City/Orangefield Ministerial Alliance in memory of David.
