Charles Grimble Robbins, 93, of Nederland passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022 at Cascade at Senior Rehab in Port Arthur.
He was born on January 31, 1929 in Evergreen, Louisiana to Charles Robbins and Mary Alice Grimble Robbins. His family moved to the Port Arthur area in 1935. He served in the US Navy during the Korean War aboard the USS Oriskany (aircraft carrier) and the USS Missouri (battleship). He worked at the Dixie Dude ranch in Bandera, Texas as a true cowboy. Charles was affiliated with Memorial Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Barbara Miles; his brothers, Lon Paul Robbins and Rudy Robbins; his wife, Jamie Wimberly Robbins.
Charles is survived by his daughter, Tracy Rushing and husband Doug of Port Neches; his four sons, Cody Robbins, Mark Robbins and Michael Robbins all of Nederland, Clay Robbins of Baytown along with 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be at a later date. Arrangements for cremation are entrusted to Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves.
