Charles Emerson Court, 77, of Port Arthur passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at Oak Grove Nursing Home in Groves.

He was born on February 25, 1943 to his parents, Emerson M. Court, Jr. and Byrdie Frances Wood Court in Beaumont, Texas. He retired from Hill Country Farms as an artificial insemination worker, where he traveled all over the country working and spent over 15 years with the company.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Rickey Lynn Court.

Charles is survived by his sister, Marion Tompkins of Port Arthur, his brother, Mike Court of Orange, several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews along with great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Saturday, July 18, 2020 from 12:30 PM till 2:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Service to honor Charles’s life will be at 2:00 PM in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Due to the Covid-19 crisis that we are currently in, all visitors to the funeral home are required to wear face mask or coverings and practice social distancing by order of the State and County officials.
